get down to halfords
and get yourself

1 can of clear laquer £5.75
1 can of black car paint £5.75
1 pack of 1500grit glasspaper (or 1200) £1.99
good polish and some tcut

bit late in reply

but here is the rest

use the 1500 to take the shine off your lights

then spray over very very light coats of black

keep doing these till you have your lights as dark as you want (when it goes fully black stop on that coat or the light wont show through)

leave it to dry for a couple of hours and then spray over with laquer (generously but dont let it run)

put as many coats of laquer on as you wish you can never have too much laquer

3-4 coats is best

then use the 1500 wet AND LIGHTLY to flat off the laquer

tcut it and use a good polish to shine it up again

also i suggest getting the brighter bulbs (i also hold no responsibility if you get pulled over for the light not being bright enough) HIGLY UNLIKELY that you will though

if i get brighter bulbs and still not enough light then il have to either remove it to be lighter

or get some led strip and put ti round the edge
